Twysted Cocktails

Friday, May 30th, 2008

One of my favorite things to do is try new cocktails whenever I get the chance. Between my busy schedule with my business and family time over the years, it’s become harder to be able to enjoy an evening with a yummy new drink. During a recent wedding over this past weekend in Santa Cruz, my husband and me were able to enjoy some much needed time to relax with our friends and enjoy a cocktail. This particular cocktail brings back fond memories of our wedding in 2005 and has since become a favorite. It’s so good that I’ve decided to make it the signature cocktail of With a Twyst. No need to have dessert at the end of your meal - this drink will take care of any sweet tooth! Give it a try and let me know if you love it as much as our guests did at our wedding!

 Twysted Chocolate Martini

1 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liqueur

1 oz. Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur

1 oz. Creme de Cocoa

1 oz. Bailey’s Irish Creme

1 oz. Vodka

2 oz. Half and Half

Chocolate Syrup

Chill two martini glasses by adding ice and water to get a perfectly chilled glass. While the glasses are chilling, pour all ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake cocktail shaker vigorously. Remove ice and water from martini glass. Using the chocoloate syrup, make a decorative design in the bottom of your glass. Pour your chocolate martini into your glass and garnish with a sprig of mint and a chocolate twyst or “curl”. Your glass can also be rimmed with cocoa, sugar or chocolate sprinkles for an added touch of whimsy. Enjoy!
